Disney Plus Parental Controls Guide
Due to its magical outer layers, many people believe that the Disney Plus platform is overall safe for kids to navigate.
However, these people need to accept the truth that not all Disney content is suitable for children.
For that reason only, the platform has some built-in parental controls that ensure that kids are not exposed to shows or movies with violence or any age-inappropriate themes.
You may now go through this blog to learn how you can utilize the features of Disney Plus parental controls.
How You Can Set Up Parental Control on Disney Plus?
Learning how to set up parental control on your Disney Plus accounts is a good way to ensure your kids' security and safety on this online streaming platform. Here’s what you have to follow:
Create a Kids’ Profile
You can enable Junior Mode for your kids’ easy-to-use interface that only features shows and movies appropriate for their ages.
All you need to follow these steps and create their profile on it:
On your Disney Plus account, select the Add Profile option.
Type in the name, and toggle the Kid’s profile option on.
Then, tap Save.
Here, you can also enable the Kid-Proof Exit feature to ensure young viewers aren't navigating to other profiles without completing an exit challenge.
Note: This option previously was "Kid Profile". But since 2023, this option has been replaced with "Junior Mode".
Create a Separate Profile
On Disney+, you can create multiple additional profiles for all the members of the house including the little teens.
Here’s how you can do it:
Go to the Add Profile icon, and fill in the name in a given space.
Now, go to Disney+ PARENTAL CONTROLS and toggle the Kid’s profile option on.
Set Content Rating
Here, you can also set a content rating to enable kids to view only the content suitable for their age groups.
Go to Profile selection page >> Edit Profiles >> Parental control >> Content Ratings.
Now, adjust the limit to the viewable content on the list of ratings that appear on your screen.
Create a Profile PIN
You can set a 4-digit Profile PIN to restrict others from accessing your profile on Disney+. Follow these steps:
On your Profile selection page, select Edit Profiles and choose which profile you’d like to set a pin for.
Now, go to Parental controls >> Profile PIN.
Set a four-digit PIN, enter your Profile password, and tap CONTINUE.
Restrict Profile Creation
You can stop people from creating or adding profiles to your Disney Plus account. All you need to do is enable Restrict profile creation on the web app:
Go to Profile icon >> Account.
Turn ‘ON’ the toggle next to Restrict Profile Creation.
Enter your password, and tap CONTINUE to confirm the action.
With these steps on your account, you have put in full control over your kids’ Disney+ streaming activities.
